In order to conduct real estate activities in Colorado, you must have a Colorado Real Estate Broker license. 

The Colorado Real Estate Broker Exam is divided into two parts.  The first part is the real estate broker national exam. The second part is the real estate broker state specific exam.  The national portion of the Colorado Real Estate broker exam is comprised of 80 questions.  In order to pass the exam, an examinee must answer 60 out of the 80 questions correctly to pass (75% correct).  The time allowed to complete the Real Estate Broker National Portion is 120 minutes.

The state specific part of the Colorado Real Estate Broker Exam is comprised of 74 questions. An examinee must answer 52 questions correctly to pass.  The time limit allowed for the state specific part of the Colorado Real Estate Broker Exam is 110 minutes.

In Colorado, if you pass the Real Estate Broker Exam, your test results are valid for 12 months. 

The Colorado Real Estate Broker exams are taken by computer. You will receive your results immediately after finishing the exam.  The exam is closed book.  You are permitted one simple functioning calculator.  Remember to bring two forms of identification to the exam site.

The registration fee to take the Colorado Real Estate Broker exam is $71, whether you take one or both parts of the exam.  The retake fee is $66, whether you take one or both parts of the exam.
