The state of Kentucky has contracted with Pearson VUE to conduct the Kentucky real estate sales agent exam.  Any person wanting to take the exam must first complete the pre license education requirement.  You will have to provide proof of completion to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission before contacting Pearson VUE to register for the exam.

You can submit the application for the Kentucky Sales Agent license after passing the exam.

Keep in mind that Kentucky has a reciprocal license agreement with Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Florida.  If you currently hold a valid license in one of these states check with the Kentucky Real Estate Commission for different application requirements.

The Kentucky Real Estate Sales Agent Exam is split into two sections.  The first section is the real estate broker national exam and the second section is the real estate broker state specific exam.  The national portion of the Kentucky Real Estate salesperson exam is comprised of 80 questions.  In order to pass the exam an examinee must answer 60 out of the 80 questions correct to pass (75% correct).

The state specific part of the Kentucky Real Estate Sales Agent Exam is comprised of 40 questions and an examinee must answer 30 questions correct to pass (75% correct).

The time limit allowed to complete the entire Kentucky Real Estate Salesperson Exam is 4 hours.

The exams are taken by computer and you will receive your results immediately after finishing the exam.  The exam is closed book.  Remember to arrive to the exam site at least 30 minutes early, bring two forms of ID, as well as a simple functioning calculator.

The registration fee to take the Kentucky Real Estate Salesperson Exam is $75 and is payable to Pearson VUE at the time you register for the exam.
