The North Carolina Real Estate Broker Exam has two types of questions.  The first type is the real estate broker national questions and the second part is real estate broker state specific questions.  The North Carolina Real Estate broker exam is comprised of a total of 110 questions.  In order to pass the exam an examinee must answer 82 out of the 110 questions correctly (75% correct).  The time limit allowed to complete the entire North Carolina Real Estate broker exam is 4 hours.

Real Estate Broker Exams in North Carolina are administered by Pearson VUE at www.pearsonvue.com.  Before registering with Pearson VUE for the North Carolina Real Estate Broker Exam you must first see how to qualify for a license.  The North Carolina Real estate commission also needs to issue to you a notice of eligibility that is valid for 180 days before registering for the exam.  Review this document to find your status:

The North Carolina Real Estate Broker exams are taken by computer, after which you will receive your results immediately..  The exam is closed book.  You are permitted to bring a simple functioning calculator for the 10% of the exam questions that might involve math.

Remember to bring two forms of ID to the exam site.  Try to arrive at the exam site at least 30 minutes early. If you arrive at the exam site more than 15 minutes late you will not be admitted.

The registration fee to take the North Carolina Real Estate Broker exam is $56.00.
