In order to conduct real estate activities in Oregon you must have an Oregon Real Estate Broker license.  There is no salesperson license in Oregon.

The Oregon Real Estate Broker Exam is split into two parts.  The first part is the real estate broker national exam and the second part is the real estate broker state specific exam.  The national portion of the Oregon Real Estate broker exam is comprised of 150 questions.  In order to pass the exam an examinee must answer 113 out of the 150 questions correctly to pass (75% correct).  The time limit allowed to complete the Real Estate Broker National Portion is 3 hours.

 

The state specific part of the Oregon Real Estate Broker Exam is comprised of 50 questions. An examinee must answer 38 questions correct to pass (75% correct).  The time limit allowed for the state specific part of the Oregon Real Estate Broker Exam is 2 hours.

 

Real Estate Broker Exams in Oregon are administered by PSI exams at www.psiexams.com.  Before registering with PSI for the Oregon Real Estate Broker Exam you must first submit your application to the Oregon Real Estate Agency.

After receiving your eligibility letter you may then schedule your exam with PSI.

 In Oregon if you pass one part of the Real Estate Broker Exam you are permitted to take and pass the subsequent part at a later date as long as both are passed within 12 months.

The Oregon Real Estate Broker exams are taken on computers. You will receive your results immediately after finishing the exam.  The exam is closed book.  Your are permitted one simple functioning calculator.  Remember to bring two forms of identification to the exam site.

The registration fee to take the Oregon Real Estate Broker exam is $75.00 whether you take one or both parts of the exam.  The retake fee is also $75.00 whether you take one or both parts of the exam.
