The Rhode Island Real Estate Broker Exam is split into two parts.  The first part is the real estate broker national exam and the second part is the real estate broker state specific exam.  The national portion of the Rhode Island Real Estate broker exam is comprised of 80 questions.  In order to pass the exam an examinee must answer 56 out of the 80 questions correctly to pass (70% correct).  The time limit allowed to complete the entire Rhode Island Real Estate Broker Exam is 4 hours..

The state specific part of the Rhode Island Real Estate Broker Exam is comprised of 55 questions. An examinee must answer 39 questions correctly to pass (70% correct).  The time limit for the entire exam is 4 hours.

 

Real Estate Broker Exams in Rhode Island are administered by Pearson VUE at www.pearsonvue.com.  Before registering with Pearson VUE for the Rhode Island Real Estate Broker Exam you must first apply for a license with the state of Rhode Island and receive an authorization to test card.   Review this document to find more information:

In Rhode Island if you pass one part of the Real Estate Broker Exam, you are permitted to retake only the part you failed as long as it is taken within one year of the date on your authorization to test card.

The Rhode Island Real Estate Broker exams are taken on computers.  The exam is closed book.  You are permitted to bring a simple functioning calculator for the 10% of the exam questions that might involve math.

Remember to bring two forms of ID to the exam site.  Also bring your reservation confirmation number, authorization to test card, and two pencils.  Try to arrive at the exam site at least 30 minutes early.

The registration fee to take the Rhode Island Real Estate Broker exam is $70.00.
