Iowa Real Estate Salesperson Exam Information |

The Iowa Real Estate Salesperson Exam has a national portion and a state portion. The national portion of the Iowa Real Estate salesperson exam is comprised of 80 questions. To pass the exam, you must answer 56 out of the 80 questions correctly. The time allowed to complete the Real Estate Salesperson National Portion is 120 minutes. The state specific part of the Iowa Real Estate Salesperson Exam contains 40 questions. An examinee must answer 28 questions correctly to pass. The time allowed for the state specific part of the Iowa Real Estate Salesperson Exam is 60 minutes. Real Estate Salesperson Exams in Iowa are administered by PSI exams at www.psiexams.com. Before registering with PSI for the Iowa Real Estate Salesperson Exam, you must first receive an eligibility notice from the Iowa Real Estate Commission. You must get your authorization letter and bring it on test day to be eligible for the exam. After registering, you must take the exam within 90 days. In Iowa, if you pass one part of the Real Estate Salesperson Exam, you are permitted to take the subsequent part at a later date. Remember that after passing both parts of the exam, you have six months to apply for your license without having to retake the test. When you apply for your Iowa Real Estate Salesperson License you will need to pay a fee of $125. You must also produce proof of passing your exam, proof of the education requirement, and proof of errors and omissions insurance. The Iowa real estate salesperson exams are taken by computer. You will receive your results after finishing the exam. The exam is closed book. The fee to take the Iowa real estate salesperson exam is $90, whether you take one or both parts of the exam.
