The Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson Exam is split into two parts. The first part is the real estate salesperson national exam and the second part is the real estate salesperson state specific exam. The national portion of the Pennsylvania Real Estate salesperson exam is comprised of 80 questions. In order to pass the exam an examinee must answer 56 out of the 80 questions correct to pass. The time limit allowed to complete the Real Estate Salesperson National Portion is 120 minutes. The state specific part of the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson Exam is comprised of 30 questions and an examinee must answer 21 questions correct to pass. The time limit allowed for the state specific part of the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson Exam is 60 minutes. In Pennsylvania if you pass one part of the Real Estate Salesperson Exam you are permitted to take and pass a subsequent part at a later date. Keep in mind that there is a three year time limit in order to apply for a Real Estate Salesperson Exam that starts after passing any part of the Real Estate Salesperson Exam. So make sure to apply for your license within that three year period. Real Estate Salesperson Exams in Pennsylvania are administered by PSI exams. www.psiexams.com. When registering with PSI for the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson Exam, you must submit a PSI exam registration form as well as your transcripts documenting you have taken the Real Estate Commission’s required courses. The Pennsylvania real estate salesperson exams are taken by computer and you will receive your results immediately after finishing the exam. The exam is closed book. The fee to take the Pennsylvania real estate salesperson exam is 56 dollars whether you take one or both parts of the exam. The retake fee is also 56 dollars whether you take one or both parts of the exam. Remember also that every candidate applying for a Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson license must also pass a criminal background check that is no longer than 90 days old.
